ABOUT CYNTHIA
Cynthia Ward Cooper has taught a variety of classes, including Yin, Restorative, Vinyasa, and Yoga Nidra, since 2013. She offers private and group classes focusing on wellness and stress management. Her classes are a blend of pranayama (breath work), meditation, and asanas (poses) that are accessible to students of all levels.
Along her path to becoming a yoga teacher, Cynthia has been many other things: librarian, consultant, musician, editor, traveler. She is a believer in education, in inclusiveness, in freedom of expression, and in balance in all things. Her classes reflect her optimism and broad range of interests, and change and evolve as she does.
Cynthia has over 700 hours of yoga training, including certifications in Psychotherapeutic Yoga and Vinyasa Yoga. She studied Restorative Yoga with Judith Lasater, and has extensive training in Yin Yoga. Most recently, Cynthia completed an intensive course in chakra energy work taught by Anodea Judith and the Insight Yoga & Psychological Inquiry workshop with Sarah Powers.
Cynthia is listed in both the national directory of Restorative Yoga teachers and the worldwide directory of Yin Yoga teachers.
